Kelvin Bossman joins ACHIEVE
Kelvin Bossman has become the latest player to join the team.
22-year-old Bossman is a powerful and pacy striker, who can also operate on the wing when required to do so. Born in Ghana, he moved to the United Kingdom at the age of nine with his parents. His football talent was spotted when he signed for the Reading academy, and during this time, he enjoyed loan spells with Basingstoke Town and Woking before deciding to make the move to Holland to sign for top-flight Dutch side FC Groningen in 2009.
A loan spell at SC Cambuur saw Bossman make his league debut in Holland, before he joined Dutch Second Division side Helmond Sport and scored his first professional goal with a winning strike against Go Ahead Eagles in August 2011. In 2007, Bossman also featured in the Under-17 FIFA World Cup™ in South Korea. In total, he made 24 appearances in Dutch football.
Since leaving Holland after being homesick and deciding to return to England to pursue his career, he endured a difficult year so far in 2013, having been unable to find a club in England after being injured in pre-season. However, after regaining fitness, he signed for Conference South club Havant & Waterlooville in February 2013, making 8 appearances. He was offered a new contract, but declined the offer in May 2013 in order to seek an opportunity at a club higher up the football pyramid.
We are delighted to welcome Kelvin to .
